Hazelnut and Chocolate Cookies
We are often asked how to use our nut pastes and we always suggest adding our Hazelnut Paste to Hazelnut and Chocolate Cookies which are fun and easy to make. By adding the paste, you will produce a softer, creamier and fudgier cookie, the sort of comfort food you need for cold, wintry evenings.
225g of light muscovado sugar
75g g of butter
60 g The Nut Kitchen Hazelnut Paste
120 g of dark chocolate chips
80 g hazelnuts (shelled and unsalted)
In a bowl mix the flour and sugar. Add the egg and the softened butter. Add the hazelnut paste.
Add the chopped hazelnuts and chocolate chips. Put the cookie dough in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
On a baking sheet lined with baking paper, drop 1 rounded tbsp. of the dough onto the sheet, spacing 1 inch apart (do not flatten dough as it will flatten slightly and naturally when baked). Bake in a preheated oven 180C for about 10-15 minutes or until golden. Let cool and serve.
